My Trainer Phone

Woke up this morning wondering where I left my cell phone. First let me explain. I am a new cell phone user. My daughter-in-law decided I should have one and so she put me on her plan. I got a free phone and she pays $10 a month. What a sweetheart she is! I am just a beginner cell phone user, so I don't need anything fancy. I call my phone a "trainer".

So where did I leave my cell phone. Here's a thought--use the land line and call the cell phone to hear it ring. Yeah, I know it's been done before, but remember, I'm a novice. So I dial my cell number and it rings. I find it, pick it up and turn it off. then I check messages on it. Oh look, my husband called just a minute ago. How did I miss his call? I press "send" to call him back and my house phone rings. Wonder who that can be? Caller ID says it is my cell phone number. Oh these darn hackers! How do they do that?

Maybe I am too blonde for a cell phone.

My cell phone is seldom on. But it such a good feeling to have a security blanket when I am away from home or we are out on the road somewhere.

So funny. I enjoyed your post so much. Even after all this time, technology is way over my head.

Thanks for the laugh! I still don't carry a cell phone. I used to but for the past few years I'm always with someone who has one (kids or husband) so I got rid of mine. I just don't like being that accessible....you know what I mean?!

Haha...that's funny! I'd bet more of us have done similar things...we just don't admit it. LOL

Oh my goodness I just love this - thanks for the hoot. I had an issue with my car keys yesterday - let's say it took me all day but I did find them - my hubby just shaking his head and chuckling. If I could have called my keys it would have saved me some stress LOL.

Hugs - Karen

Too funny! My crew gives me a hard time about not having a SMART phone...I have the regular cell and it doesn't bother me one bit! Technology...I tell ya! Then they bought me a NOOK....LOVE IT!!! I always wonder just how far technology will take us in the future.

lol! I've had a cell phone for a couple years and somehow I never hear it ring. It is handy though.

I have totally gone over to the dark side with my cell phone. Hubby convinced me to get a smart phone and I went along . . . . now it is rarely more than a few inches from me. I'm obsessed *s*

You are too funny! Don't worry. You'll get it soon enough. Then you'll wonder how you ever did without it. :-)

You need a resident kid to teach you how to use it. They seem to be born knowing all about cell phones now. Any problems with my cell phone and my daughter fixes it for me.

Ha ha ha! Well, newbies come along the learning curve at different rates, that's all :) Thanks for the grins!

Ha, I don't even understand the problems, except I have cleverly called my lost cell phone before with my son's phone and vice versa. You have a cell phone for, like, free! It's nice to have thoughtful relatives :-).

That was toooo funny and I am sure that we all can relate. Technology is just moving too fast for my taste!! I have decided that it's made for youngsters, not 'oldies' like me.
